Not So Canned Green Beans |

I love the way my grandmother's fresh green beans taste, but never have the prep time. This is a quick fix. This recipe is easy to double or even triple for partys! Ingredients:
2 cans of cut or whole green beans |
2 cans of whole potatoes |
4 strips of hickory smoked baccon, cubed |
4 to 6 cups of water |
salt and pepper to taste |
Directions:
1. In a large pot heat baccon over medium high to high heat. Cook through. 2. Add green beans and potatoes, cover with water, add salt and pepper to taste. Cover pot with lid. 3. Cook on high heat untill all of the water is evaporated, stiring frequently. 4. Serve and enjoy. |
