Not quite chili, not quite a casserole, but as delicious as either. Or both! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1 (15 ounce) can chili beans |
1/2 cup frozen corn |
1/2 green pepper, chopped |
1/2 medium onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon garlic, chopped |
2 tablespoons chili powder |
1 teaspoon cumin (cominos) |
8 ounces tomato sauce |
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Brown beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic. 2. Drain. 3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, tomato sauce, corn. 4. Heat til slightly reduced (to a texture you like). 5. Sprinkle with cheese and cover until melted. 6. Serve alone or with fritos or tortillas. |
