An alternative to Green Bean Casserole which I have never liked. This is so much fresher and tastier and much less creamy Ingredients:
1 lb green snap beans |
about 10 baby bella mushrooms |
4 tblsp salt |
2 cloves garlic |
1/4 stick of butter |
sesame seeds |
white wine (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preparation: 2. break ends off beans and snap into bite size pieces 3. clean anslice mushrooms about 1/8 thich 4. peel and slice garlic into thin pieces 5. - 6. Bring to boil a large pot of water with salt 7. this dish takes a bit more salt than usual but adjust to your taste 8. boil 3-4 minutes as you want them a bit crunchy 9. strain into a bowl of ice water to keep color 10. - 11. In a skillet melt butter 12. saute garlic and mushrooms a few minutes (not too done) 13. add green beans 14. splash of white wine (optional) 15. salt and ground pepper to taste 16. plate 17. add sesame seeds 18. Serve 19. - 20. That;s it! Enjoy! |
