This is a great way to serve lamb. In my search for recipes from Norway I found this on the web. This is great served with white or brown rice and steamed carrots. Ingredients:
3 lbs lamb, chunked |
1/4 cup flour |
3 garlic cloves, minced |
1 large onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
2 tablespoons curry powder |
margarine for browning sauce |
Directions:
1. Coat meat with flour. Saute garlic and onion in a small amount of margarine . Heat more more margarine in a heavy skillet and brown meat on all sides. Transfer to large pot. Add sauteed onions and garlic to pot. Season with salt, pepper, and curry powder. Add 1 cup hot water and bring to a boil.Add more water if necessary to cover meat. Cover, and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes. Check seasonings. It should be quite strong. 2. Serve hot. |
