This sweet and savory dish is tradition at any of the jewish holidays' - takes minutes to make Ingredients:
1 container (16 oz.) cottage cheese |
1 container (16 oz.) sour cream |
1 cup sugar |
5 eggs, beaten |
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
1 package (12 oz.) broad egg noodles, cooked, rinsed and drained |
1 tablespoon each cinnamon and sugar |
Directions:
1. In 4 - 5 quart pot filling 3/4 of the way bring water to boil add noodles and cook till nearly done. 2. Beat eggs, add cottage cheese,sour cream and sugar. When well mixed slowly add melted (not hot) butter. Add vanilla and cinnamon and sugar. Some people like to add rasins as well. 3. Add noodles and stir well. 4. Pour into a 8 x 13 well greased dish. 5. I like to shake a little extra cinnamon and sugar over the top before baking 1 hour at 350 degrees. |
