Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted and divided |
1 (12-ounce) package medium-size egg noodles |
1/3 cup sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3 medium apples, peeled and grated |
3 eggs, beaten |
1 (8-ounce) carton commercial sour cream |
1 cup cottage cheese |
1 cup orange juice |
2 cups crushed cornflakes |
Directions:
1. Spread 1/4 cup melted butter in the bottom of a 13- x 9- x 2- inch baking dish; set aside. 2. Prepare noodles according to package directions; drain. Combine noodles, sugar, salt, apples, eggs, sour cream, cottage cheese, and orange juice in a large bowl, stirring well. Spoon mixture into baking dish. Combine cornflakes and remaining butter; sprinkle over noodle mixture. 3. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Serve immediately. |
