This recipe is from Cook for a Day, Eat for a Month. We have had it multiple times, and it is really good. I wanted to share it, because it freezes well, if you wanted to double it and have it again on yet another one of those busy weeknights. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
2 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
1 cup sour cream |
5 green onions, chopped |
1 (8 ounce) package of your favorite noodles |
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Brown beef in skillet. Add garlic, salt, sugar, and tomato sauce. Simmer 10 minutes until meat is lightly browned. In a small bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream, and onions. Boil noodles, undercooking a minute or two; drain. In a 9x13 inch pan, layer noodles, cream cheese mixture, and meat sauce. Repeat. Sprinkle cheddar on top. 2. To Freeze: Cover with foil; and freeze. 3. To Serve: Transfer to refrigerator the night before. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted and bubbly. |
