Ingredients:
1 tablespoon(s) olive oil |
2 teaspoon(s) butter |
1/4 cup(s) onion chopped |
1 tablespoon(s) whole wheat vermicelli or thin spaghetti broken into 2 inch pieces |
1 cup(s) bulgar wheat |
2 cup(s) chicken broth |
2 tablespoon(s) fresh italian parsley chopped |
2 tablespoon(s) fresh mint or basil chopped |
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil and butter in pan over med heat until butter begins to bubble. 2. Add onion and pasta cook about 3-4 minutes until onion is soft.and pasta is beginning to brown 3. Add bulgar wheat and cook 2 minutes 4. Add broth, (carefully) reduce heat to low, cover and cook until liquid is absorbed 5. Add herbs and stir 6. Serve warm or at room temperature |
