My grandmother's meatballs, a staple in my family as long as I can remember. Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
1/4 cup italian breadcrumbs |
1 egg |
a few pinches parmesan or logatelli cheese |
pinch salt |
pinch pepper |
4-5 tbsp olive oil |
2 jars spaghetti sauce ( i use homemade, but the store bought works just fine) |
Directions:
1. 1. Blend first 6 ingredients in a mixing bowl 2. 2. Roll into balls, as big or as small as you like. 3. 3. Heat olive oil in a saucepan on medium. 4. 4. Cook meatballs in oil until slightly pink on the inside 5. 5. Cook meatballs in sauce on low heat for 4-6 hours. |
