This easy to make candy pecan treat is a added bonus on your goodie tray at Christmas time. Ingredients:
1 egg white |
1 teaspoon cold water |
4 cups pecan halves |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 225°F. 2. Beat the egg and water till frothy. 3. Add the nuts and mix till well coated. 4. Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. 5. bake for 1 hour. 6. Stir every 15 minutes. 7. Remove from the oven and cool completely. 8. This can be stored in a airtight container for up to 4 wks. |
