I haven't had this in years, but it is on my list of recipes to re-discover. The recipe doesn't include cooking time though... Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups millet |
1 cup oats |
1 onion, chopped |
1 cup mushroom, chopped |
1/4 tablespoon allspice |
1/3 tablespoon clove |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
salt & pepper |
1/4 cup sunflower oil |
1/3 cup tamari or 1/3 cup soya sauce |
1 uncooked pie crust (top & bottom) |
Directions:
1. Cook millet and oats. 2. (Millet is cooked like rice, but using more water). 3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions and mushrooms. 4. Mix cooked cereals and other ingredients. 5. Place in a prepared pie crust & cover with another crust. 6. Bake at 425F until golden. |
