Slice and freeze, then simply pop it into the toaster for your morning fix Ingredients:
4 cups nutty wheat |
1 cup oats |
1 cup organic bran |
80 grams crushed wheat, (optional) |
2 tsp bicarbonate of soda |
2 tbsp sugar |
60 ml sunflower seeds |
60 ml sesame seeds |
60 ml poppy seeds |
60 ml linseeds |
2 cups plain yoghurt |
310 ml milk |
2 tbsp vegetable oil, or avocado |
Directions:
1. 1 Preheat oven to 180°C. 2. 2 Mix all the dry ingredients and half the seeds in a large bowl. 3. 3 Stir yoghurt, milk and oil through dry ingredients, making sure it’s well mixed. 4. 4 Spoon batter into a greased 30cm loaf pan and level surface of dough. 5. 5 Scatter over remaining seeds and bake for 1 hour or until an inserted skewer comes out clean. 6. Cool before slicing. 7. Serve with butter and jam. |
