No-fail Sour Cream Chocolate Cake |

A nice, moist cake! Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup unbleached all-purpose flour |
1 3/4 cup sugar |
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa |
1 1/2 t baking soda |
1 t salt |
2/3 cup butter, softened |
2 cups sour cream |
2 large eggs |
1 t vanilla |

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan 3. In a large bowl, combine flour,sugar,cocoa,baking soda and salt 4. Add the softened butter,sour cream, eggs and vanilla 5. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes, scraping bowl as needed 6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until wooden pick comes out clean 7. Cool in pan on wire rack 8. When completely cool, frost 9. FROSTING 10. In a heavy saucepan, melt 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 1/4 cup butter over low heat 11. Stir until smooth 12. Remove from heat and let cool 5 minutes 13. Place in a large bowl and add 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 t vanilla 14. Beat until blended 15. Add 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar and beat until light and fluffy 16. Frost cake and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve |
