This is chili made with ground turkey, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes, but no beans to reduce carbs. The number of servings of 6.5 is simply to get a standard serving size of about one cup. In reality, there are about 4 cups when cooked. Ingredients:
21 ounces turkey,ground |
8 ounce tomato sauce |
8 ounce water |
15 ounce tomatoes,diced |
1 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Spray large frying type pan with PAM or similar cooking spray 2. Heat pan to medium heat 3. Add ground turkey and cook until no longer pink 4. Add 8 ounce can of tomato sauce 5. Add 8 ounce can of water 6. Add 15 ounce can diced tomatoes 7. Reduce heat to low or medium low and cover pan 8. Let simmer for 30 minutes, mixing one in a while 9. When finished, place chili into heat safe bowl 10. Serve right away or cover bowl and place in refrigerator for later |
