This recipe is like a Jell-o Poke cake but jazzed up a little more. Ingredients:
1-loaf angel food cake, cut into 1-in. cubes |
2 pkgs. strawberry jell-o |
2 cups boiling water |
1 pkg. (20-oz.) frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed |
2 cups cold milk |
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix |
1 carton (8-oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed |
Directions:
1. Arrange cake cubes in a single layer in a 13x9x2-in. dish. 2. In a bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in strawberries. 3. Pour over cake and gently press cake down. 4. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. 5. In a bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. 6. Spoon over gelatin layer. 7. Spread with whipped topping. 8. Refrigerate until serving. |
