These were one of my dad's favorite recipes. My grandma used to make them for her kids and dad made them for us. I use them to get a certain friend to come and visit by offering some fresh no-bakes. I love them, but they're absolutely impossible to eat without milk. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
1/2 cup milk |
2 cups sugar |
1/3 cup cocoa |
1/2 cup peanut butter |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
3 cups oatmeal |
Directions:
1. Combine first four ingredients in saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for about 1 minute, stirring constantly. 2. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter, vanilla and oatmeal. 3. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Let cool. 4. I usually do a double recipe and, more often than not, they don't last more than two days. |
