I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Kraft magazine. Ingredients:
8 cups thinly sliced peeled granny smith apples (about 4 large) |
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar, divided |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided |
1/3 cup old fashioned oats |
1/4 cup cold margarine |
25 reduced-fat vanilla wafers, crushed (about 1 cup crumbs) |
1 1/2 cups thawed cool whip lite |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Toss appleswith 1/4 cup of the brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon. 3. Spoon into 8-9 inch square baking dish. 4. Combine oats, the remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in medium bowl. 5. Cut in margarine with pastry blender or 2 knives, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 6. Add wafer crumbs; mix well. 7. Spread crumb mixture evenly over apples. 8. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm or cooled. 9. Top with whipped topping. |
