The base of this was my mom's; I just adjusted it a little to my likings. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
1/3 cup onion, chopped |
salt and pepper |
4 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce |
1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste |
1 1/2 teaspoons italian spices |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon onion powder |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 cup water (optional) |
Directions:
1. Brown beef with onions, season with salt and pepper to taste; drain off any fat. 2. Add remaining ingredients (water is optional depending on the thickness you prefer). 3. Simmer a minimum of 30 minutes. 4. Serve over pasta noodles of any kind. |
