These are GREAT finger foods that are hard to stop eating. Just a little advanced prep and they are good to go! My husband loves them. This is his cousins newest addition to the family cookbook. Thanks Nic! Ingredients:
1 lb little smokies sausage |
1 lb bacon (cut into thirds) |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
toothpick |
Directions:
1. Cut bacon into thirds. 2. Place bacon and brown sugar into plastic freezer bag and allow to sit overnight in the fridge.(I massage it a few times to make sure that each piece of bacon gets fully coated.) 3. Wrap each lil smokie with a brown sugar coated piece of bacon and insert toothpick to hold bacon in place. 4. Place each lil smokie on foil lined baking sheet (THIS IS A MUST!), broil on the top rack for 3-5 mins, then flip each lil smokie for another 2-3 minutes more. Make sure bacon is cooked and should start to crisp. 5. Stand back and watch them disappear. |
