New York Style Cheesecake |

This is the recipe for our basic NY Style cheesecake used to make most of our cakes Ingredients:
1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafer cookies |
1/4 cup melted butter |
1 1/2 lbs cream cheese, room temperature |
3 large eggs |
1 1/3 cups sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
2 teaspoons grated lemon rind |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 tablespoons heavy cream |
Directions:
1. Combine Crust ingredients and press into the bottom and sides of a 9 1/2-inch springform pan. 2. Combine cheese and eggs. Beat with electric mixer till perfectly smooth. Then, add while continuing to beat, 3. sugar, the flour, and flavorings. Pour into the prepared pan. Bake at 325 for 70 - 75 minutes. 4. Turn off heat and let cool in oven. Do not open the springform pan until completly cool. |
