This easy to make classic cheesecake has a slightly cakelike texture.
Ingredients:
2 pounds cream cheese
3/4 c granulated sugar
2 large eggs lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbs cornstarch
1 c sourcream
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together to cream cheese and sugar until smooth and light
3. Beat in the eggs, vanilla, and cornstarch, only until thoroughly mixed.
4. Stir in the sour cream until the mixture is well blended
5. Pour the mixture into the prepared crust and bake for 45 minutes.
6. Allow the cake to cool in the oven with the door propped slightly open, for three hours.
7. A few toppings that may be added if desired are a can of crushed pineapple, blackberries, blueberries, or shaved almonds.
8. Refridgerate until serving
