Baked cheese dip, serve with assorted crackers or chips. Very good and very easy. Ingredients:
2-8 ounce packages cream cheese, softened |
2 cups sour cream |
1 medium onion, chopped |
2 tablespoons mayonnaise |
1 pound sliced bacon*, +cooked and crumbled |
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided |
crackers or chips, your favorite |
*i prefer to bake the bacon. line an iron skillet with heavy duty foil, place strips of bacon on foil and bake at 400 degrees until brown. remove bacon, drain on paper towel, then crumble) |

Directions:
1. In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese 2. Add sour cream, onion, mayonnaise 3. Beat again until combined and smooth 4. Fold in cooked crumbled bacon 5. Fold in 3 cups of the cheddar cheese 6. Place in baking dish (I think a bowl type casserole is best) 7. Sprinkle with remaining cheese 8. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes or until lightly browned 9. If using a bowl type casserole, may place on a large platter, or basket tray, and surround with crackers and chips |
