Zesty italian dressing and bacon bits add a special touch to this summer favorite. As an alternative, serve this salad warm. This recipe came from Kraft Food And Family magazine. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping. Ingredients:
3 lbs new potatoes, cut into 1-inch-inch cubes |
1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced |
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved |
1/4 cup oscar mayer real bacon bits |
1/4 cup chopped fresh basil |
1/4 cup kraft zesty italian dressing |
1/4 cup miracle whip |
2 teaspoons grey poupon dijon mustard |
Directions:
1. Cook potatoes in boiling water 10-12 minutes or until fork tender. Drain. 2. Toss potatoes, onion, tomatoes, bacon bits, and basil in large bowl. Mix remaining ingredients. Pour over potato mixture; toss lightly. Refrigerate until ready to serve. 3. To make this warm: Simply heat bacon bits in the microwave for a few seconds and toss with warm, just cooked potatoes and the remaining ingredients. |
