My family LOVES this recipe. At my house you get to pick your favorite meal for your birthday dinner and this is what everyone wants. Ingredients:
7 lbs large shrimp |
1 cup real butter |
1 cup olive oil |
1/2 cup chili sauce |
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce |
2 lemons (sliced thin) |
4 garlic cloves |
4 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 tablespoon parsley |
2 teaspoons paprika |
2 teaspoons oregano |
3 teaspoons cayenne pepper |
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
1 tablespoon liquid smoke |
salt and pepper, to tast |
Directions:
1. Wash the shrimp well. You do not need to peel the shrimp. 2. Spread shrimp out in a baking dish. 3. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan over low heat. Let simmer for 10 minutes, then pour over shrimp. 4. Mix well and refrigerate. Baste and turn the shrimp every 30 minutes and let refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours. 5. Preheat oven to 300 and bake for 30 minutes. Turn the shrimp every ten minutes. 6. I like to serve this with a good French bread to dip into the sauce. |
