A very tasty low-fat, low-calorie chowder. Nice made with other sea foods as well. Ingredients:
1 cup water |
1 cube knorr stock cubes chicken |
142 g cloverleaf baby clams |
4 cups 1% milk |
1 tsp garlic powder |
1 tsp parsley flakes |
1 tsp basil leaves |
1/2 tsp black pepper |
1 tsp butter |
1 large potato, diced |
1 tbsp flour |
Directions:
1. Dissolve stock cube in water over medium heat. 2. Set flour aside and add remaining ingredients. 3. Let simmer until potatoes are tender. 4. Mix flour with a little water (or milk) to make a paste an gently stir into chowder. A whisk works well for this. 5. Continue to simmer for 30 minutes. 6. Serve steaming hot. |
