Three different flavors in a pound cake. Chocolate, vanilla & pink! Ingredients:
3/4 cup crisco |
1 1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 teaspoon baking powder |
4 egg whites |
2 cups sugar |
3 cups sifted cake flour |
1 1/2 cups water(i use milk) |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/8 teaspoon cloves |
1/8 teaspoon baking soda |
2 teaspoons cocoa, stirred with 2 teaspoons water |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla |
3 - 4 drops red coloring |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F 2. Grease & flour bundt pan. 3. Blend crisco, sugar & salt. 4. Sift flour with baking powder, add flour alternately with water or milk. 5. Fold in beaten egg whites. 6. *1 3/4 CUPS BATTER TO EACH LAYER* 7. DARK LAYER******************************* 8. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 9. 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 10. 1/8 teaspoon cloves 11. 1/8 teaspoon soda 12. 2 teaspoons cocoa, stirred with 2 teaspoons water 13. PINK LAYER*************************************** 14. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 15. 3 - 4 drops coloring(red) 16. WHITE LAYER************************************** 17. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract 18.
