My family always insist that I make this at every family get together. It is a big hit! This is a dish people will eat while the main course is still cooking. Keep this cool or it gets runny & the lettuce will wilt. Read more . I usually make this only a few hours before the dinner. The fresher, the better. Ingredients:
1 large can of traditional refried beans |
1 large container of sour cream (2 cups) |
1 cup of miracle whip |
1 packet of powder taco seasoning |
2 bags of shredded cheddar cheese (more/less, however you like it) |
1 head of lettuce-chopped (as much as you want) |
1 can of black olives-sliced |
2-3 medium tomatoes (more/less, however much you like)-diced up |
Directions:
1. Mix sour cream, miracle whip & taco seasoning in a bowl until well blended.-Set aside 2. Spread entire can of refried beans into a large cake pan. 3. Spread 1/3 of the sour cream mixture on top of the refried beans 4. Then top with 1/2 of the cheese. 5. Next add a layer of Lettuce. 6. Place tomatoes on top of lettuce. 7. Cover tomatoes with remaining mix.-spread out evenly 8. Now place remaining cheese on top of mix. 9. Finally spread black olives out on the top. 10. Enjoy with Nacho Chips! |
