I'd never made pecan pie before and was surprised at how easy it was. This was really good! From The Treasury of White Trash Cooking Ingredients:
1 tablespoon butter |
1 cup brown sugar |
3 eggs |
1 cup white corn syrup |
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup pecans |
1 pinch salt |
1 pie shell, unbaked |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 450°F. 2. Cream butter and sugar. 3. Beat eggs lightly and combine with butter and sugar mix. 4. Mix in everything else and pour into unbaked pie shell. 5. Bake for 10 minutes. 6. Reduce heat to 350 F and bake another 35 minutes. |
