Crock pot ham and bean soup Ingredients:
1 lb navy beans, dried |
6 cups water |
1 cup carrots, chopped |
1 cup onions, chopped |
1 cup celery, chopped |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
2 cups potatoes, diced |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 teaspoon minced onion |
2 teaspoons salt |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
1 cup diced smoked ham |
2 chicken bouillon cubes |
1 tablespoon chopped chives |
Directions:
1. The night before, put the beans into a large bowl.Cover with water and soak overnight. 2. The next morning, drain the water and put the beans into a 4 quart crock pot. 3. Add 6 cups of water, the carrots, celery, potatoes, garlic powder, minced onion, salt, pepper, smoked ham, bouillon cubes and chives. 4. Stir well 5. Cook on low setting for 8-10 hours |
