Very old recipe; uses whole wheat flour. Libbie has a grandson Nathan; I don't know if this recipe was for him or what. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup butter |
3 eggs |
1 tablespoon vanilla |
3 cups whole wheat flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 1/2 cups milk |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar, brown sugar, and butter. 2. Add eggs. 3. Add vanilla. 4. Add whole wheat flour, salt, and baking powder. 5. Add milk. 6. Blend for 2 minutes on high. 7. Put in a greased cake pan. 8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. |
