My mother passed the torch of making sausage balls every Christmas to me about ten years ago. These are my brother's favorite thing at our Christmas eve gathering at grandmother's. This is really simple to make and very tasty. I don't believe I have seen this on zaar yet, well this version anyhow. Cook time is for one round of cooking the balls, depending on how much you make etc you can gauge how long it will take. The small velveeta bricks are the size you need and the regular jimmy dean tube of pan sausage. Ingredients:
1 lb velveeta cheese (mexican style) |
1 lb sausage (jimmy dean can use hot or mild) |
1 cup bisquick |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. 2. Form into quarter size balls. 3. Place on greased cookie sheet. 4. Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes or until golden. |
