I had a great create your own smoothie at the Minneapolis raw food restaurant, Ecopolitan. I tried to recreate it but came up with something delicious and unique! Ingredients:
2 cups crushed ice |
5 1/2 ounces coconut milk |
3/4 cup milk |
1 tablespoon white sugar |
1 tablespoon honey |
2 teaspoons ground flax seed |
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Place the place the crushed ice, coconut milk, and milk into a blender. Add the sugar, honey, flax seed, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and vanilla extract. Cover, and puree until smooth. Pour into glasses to serve. |
