Nanny's Chocolate Ice Cream |

This is a chocolate ice cream recipe that my grandmother came up with. Recipe makes 6 quarts of ice cream and can be divided for smaller ice cream maker. Ingredients:
6 (12 ounce) cans evaporated milk |
1 pint heavy whipping cream |
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
6 tablespoons cocoa |
5 ounces semi-sweet chocolate |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1 cup sugar |
Directions:
1. Put heavy whipping cream, sweetened condensed milk, 4 cans of evaporated milk, vanilla, grated chocolate in the ice cream cylinder.
2. In a saucepan disolve cocoa and sugar in 2 cans of evaporated milk over low heat.
3. When disolved, put in ice cream cylinder and churn according to the directions that came with your ice cream maker.
