BURKH007 say this dish is very easy and delicious and good for company . Sounds pretty good to me, I must say... Ingredients:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil |
salt and pepper to taste |
4 (4 ounce) skinless, boneless chicken breast halves |
8 ounces cream cheese with chives |
4 puff pastry shells |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. 2. Lightly grease a baking sheet. 3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. 4. Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt and pepper. 5. Place in hot oil and cook for 5 minutes until breasts are evenly browned. 6. Roll out pastry sheets as thinly as possible to fit chicken breasts. 7. Spread 2 ounces cream cheese on one breast, place in center of pastry sheet. 8. Fold pastry sheet around chicken and pinch edges to seal. 9. Repeat with remaining ingredients. 10. Place the pastry wrapped chicken breasts on greased baking sheet. 11. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until golden brown. 12. **It is my humble opinion that the chicken needs to be cooked longer than 5 minutes in the oil and given more time in the oven also. |
