My Nana's meatloaf. Tried and true comfort food. I usually make extra topping! Ingredients:
700 g lean ground beef |
2/3 cup fine soft bread crumbs |
1 cup milk |
2 eggs, slightly beaten |
1/4 cup onion, chopped |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon sage |
pepper, to taste |
3 tablespoons brown sugar |
4 tablespoons ketchup |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 teaspoon dry mustard |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together. 2. Put in loaf pan (or to allow extra fat to run away from the meatloaf, from loaf on a baking sheet). 3. Spread toppping over meatloaf. 4. Bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours. |
