The BEST beans you have ever had! My MIL's beans are known far and wide for being the best. Your burritos, juevos rancheros, etc. have never tasted this good.......... EVER! Ingredients:
1 (1 lb) bag pinto beans |
1 1/2 lbs chorizo sausage |
salt (to taste) |
Directions:
1. Rinse beans in cold water making sure they are all clean. 2. Place beans in Medudo (stock) pot and fill with water. 3. Bring to a rolling boil. 4. Add raw chorizo and a little salt. 5. Bring to a rolling boil. 6. Cover and reduce heat to low. 7. Cook for four to six hours, checking occasionally. 8. If you need to add water, add hot water. 9. Tast them to see if they need more salt, if so add some. 10. Mash what you will use with a potato masher, freeze the rest unmashed. 11. Enjoy! |
