This can also be turned into a hearty appetized by adding tortilla chips for dipping! Sometimes we add a spoonful of sour cream to the top of this when we serve it! Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
1 onion, chopped |
2 (16 ounce) cans spicy chili beans |
16 ounces frozen corn, thawed |
15 ounces tomato sauce |
1 1/4 ounces taco seasoning mix |
3 cups monterey jack and cheddar cheese blend, shredded |
3 cups plain doritos, crushed and divided (regular kind) |

green onion, chopped |
Directions:
1. Cook beef and onion in large pan until cooked. Drain. Add beans, corn, tomato sauce and taco seasoning. Stir well. Simmer over medium heat 10 minutes. Pour half of meat mixture into lightly greased 13 x9 baking dish. Top with 1 1/2 cups cheese and half of crushed chips. Top with remaining beef mixture and top with remaining chips and cheese. Bake 350 for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden. Sprinkle with chopped tomatoes and onion, serve. |
