I make these every Christmas and everyone in my office loves them. I make them with pecans and almonds. You can use whatever you like. UPDATE: I played with this recipe and I think that it is better. The last reviewer said that it was not sweet enough so I up'ed the sugar & even changed it to brown sugar.... Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar |
1 tablespoon flour |
2 tablespoons cinnamon |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1 egg white |
2 1/2-3 cups nuts |
1/4-1/2 cup butter |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a 13 x 9 baking pan. 2. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt, set aside. 3. Beat egg white until foamy, add vanilla. Stir in sugar mix and nuts and coat. Spread on a baking pan and bake at 250 for about 30 to 45 minutes, stirring every once in a while so that they don't stick - . |
