A spicy blend of fresh garden flavors Ingredients:
4 medium tomatoes (peeled and seeded) |
1 jalapeno (seeded and diced fine) |
1 habanero (seeded ribs removed and minced very fine) |
1 rib celery (diced) |
1 large onion (diced) |
3 cloves garlic (minced) |
1/2 green bell pepper (diced) |
1/2 red bell pepper (diced) |
juice of 1/2 a lime |
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil |
1/2 tsp. coriander |
1/4 tsp. cinnamon |
1/4 tsp. chili powder |
salt & pepper |
Directions:
1. sweat peppers, onion, and garlic over medium low heat (until translucent) 2. add salt, pepper, and spices 3. remove from heat and stir in tomatoes 4. finish with lime juice and olive oil 5. serve with chips or use as a garnish on your favorite mexican recipe 6. *for a spicier salsa do not remove seedes and ribs from the chilies 7. **a few tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro can be added at the end for a brighter flavor |
