Home made rice porridge. Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown rice |
1/2 cup basmati rice |
6 red dates |
1 1/4 litres water |
1 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Soak rice in 1 litre of water overnight. 2. Soak red dates in 250ml water overnight and in the morning process these to a fine slurry. 3. Add to the rice and water mixture and add salt. Cook in slow cooker on low for approx 12 hours. When cool, bag in ziplok bags, 1/2 cup of the mixture at a time. |
