I threw this together from ingredients we had here one night, and it came out so very tasty. Ingredients:
3 chicken breasts, cut into strips |
1/2 teaspoon thyme |
1/4 teaspoon garlic pepper seasoning |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1 tablespoon water |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth |
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated |
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated |
Directions:
1. Brown the chicken with the thyme and garlic pepper. 2. Add to that a mixture of 1/2 the can of cream of chicken soup and water and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until chicken is no longer pink in the middle. 3. Then mix together the broth and other 1/2 of the cream of chicken, and add that to the pan also. 4. After another few minutes of simmering, add the cheeses and cook through. 5. I served it with white steamed rice and vegetables on the side, but imagine that it would also be good with pasta, or even egg noodles. |
