For potlucks or large dinner parties, my mother would make this BBQ beef and serve it on small sandwich buns. It was always a big hit, especially with the men. You can use a crock-pot for the all the cooking requirements, or follow the recipe. Ingredients:
3 -4 lbs roast beef |
1 (16 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce |
water |
Directions:
1. Sear roast in skillet. Place in baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F until no longer pink. Allow to cool completely. 2. Slice meat against the grain of the meat, very thin. Shred meat with fork or fingers. 3. Place shredded meat in crock pot and cover with BBQ sauce and a little water. Cook on low for 4 hours or so. Serve on buns. |
