This is my style of making malay chicken rice Ingredients:
3 cups of uncooked rice |
sufficient boiled chicken broth |
(use the one , from the black beauty fried chicken recipe) |
2-3 table spoon of liquid chicken stock/essence or 1 1/2 chicken bouillon |
3 screwpine leaves knotted together |
3-4 pips of garlics crushed |
3 slice of ginger |
2 tablespoon of oil |
salt if needed (note that , you just want your rice to be flavourful , not salty because the black beauty fried chicken already uses a lot of soy sauce) |
Directions:
1. Dilute the liquid chicken essence or chicken buillon into the chicken broth 2. In your rice cooker , sautee the garlic until fragrant , then only you put the washed rice , followed by the chicken broth , ginger , screwpine leaves , and leave it to cook . 3. If you don't have a rice cooker , use a pot , to saute your garlic , remove from heat pour in the uncooked rice and stir for a few seconds . Insert the broth , ginger , screwpine leaves . Then cover the pot with aluminium foil . Set your oven at 200 degree celcius , for maybe 40 minutes . and cook your rice . If still undone , set for another 10 minutes or until the rice is done |
