This recipe is great if you like meat (and by that I mean sausage). This is not your typical cornbread stuffing and taste nothing like it. So, if your looking for that taste, this recipe is not for you. However, if you like a savory stuffing, give this one a try. I personally find this very very tasty and have not had complaints about it yet. This would also be good to make on a cold winter day. I think of it more as a comfort food. Don't count your calories with this one, just enjoy it! Ingredients:
turkey giblets |
2 1/2 cups croutons |
2 1/2 teaspoons salt (may be salty to start with so start with 1 1/2 and increase from there) |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/2 lb pork sausage (save grease) |
10 1/2 ounces celery soup |
1 teaspoon marjoram |
2 eggs |
1 onion, chopped |
1 cup sauerkraut |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Boil giblets in water. Put giblets plus water and other ingredients into blender. Stuff turkey and bake. Enjoy. 2. Note: Cooking times vary so do not follow what is listed but rather how big the turkey you are using is. If you did not want to stuff into turkey you could bake in a pan separate. I do not have temperature or times for that though because we use the turkey method. |
