super healthy Ingredients:
1 cup rolled oats |
1 cup bran cereal |
1/4 cup flax seed |
1 cup whole wheat flour |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1/4 cup almonds |
1/4 cup raisins |
1/2 cup sesame seeds |
1/3 cup corn syrup |
1 egg, beaten |
1/4 cup canola oil |
1/4 cup applesauce, unsweetened |
1 tsp vanilla extract |
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan 2. In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, bran cereal, ground flax seed, whole wheat flour, cinnamon, almonds, raisins and sesame seeds until distributed 3. Mix together the corn syrup, egg, oil and vanilla in a smaller bowl. Make a well in the middle of the oat mixture and pour the liquid in and mix well. Pat into the pan 4. Bake for about 30 minutes or until browned, but not too dry. Cool for five minutes and then cut. Don't wait too long because the bars will become too hard to cut into squares |
