When Grandma Weed got this recipe, in the mid 1970's she made two for every represented family who came for Christmas..... every year until she had to go into assisted living. I remember helping her make about 20 of these one year! Read more ! Ingredients:
2 lg pkg cream cheese |
1 lg can crushed pineapple - drained very very well |
1 tsp black pepper |
1 tsp season salt |
1/2 c chopped green pepper (chop it small, but don't mince) |
1 c red onion (chop same as green pepper) |
3 c crushed pecans |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together, using only 3/4 cup of pecans. 2. Put remaining pecans in a pie plate. 3. Form cheese mixture into two balls 4. Pat remaining nuts onto ball with your clean hands 5. We'd have a production line going with someone rolling balls and another person patting in nuts... it made them look neater..... |
