This is the yummiest apple crisp I have ever eaten. You can make it with all apples or use half apples and half pears or peaches. Ingredients:
3 medium apples, peeled and sliced |
3 medium pears or 3 medium peaches, peeled and sliced |
1 cup fresh cranberries or 1 cup frozen cranberries |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 cup apple juice or 1/4 cup orange juice |
1 cup rolled oats |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine |
Directions:
1. Fruit: Combine all of the fruit in a bowl. 2. Mix the sugar, flour, and cinnamon. 3. Toss with the fruit. 4. Place in a 2-quart shallow casserole or an 8 square baking pan. 5. Drizzle with apple or orange juice. 6. Topping: Combine the oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon and allspice. 7. Cut in the butter until the mixture is crumbly. 8. Spoon over the fruit mixture. 9. Bake at 375 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until the fruit is tender. 10. Serve warm. |
