Good, warm chili. Add sliced jalopenos for a little more heat to suit your taste. Ingredients:
2 can (15-ounce) beans, kidney, drained |
28 ounce canned tomatoes, diced |
2 lbs lean ground beef, coarsly ground |
2 medium onions, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, crushed |
3 tablespoon chili powder |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon cumin |
1 teaspoon salt, to taste |
Directions:
1. Brown and drain ground beef. 2. Put all ingredients in 4 qt slow cooker in the order listed. Stir once. Cover and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours. (High: 5 to 6 hours). 3. Add two or three jalapenos (or more), diced, to spice it up a bit, if desired. 4. Substitute beef with ground turkey, if desired. |
