This is the recipe that I am commanded to make for every cookout (and party for that matter). This dip and the BIG size bag of tortilla chips and your are good to go. Everyone we know LOVES cheese, so I use alot. I think 1 cup of cheese for each layer in the recipe will work, but you know what you like. Use as much or as little as you want. *For some reason, it's not registering on the list of ingredients. It's suppose to be 1 SMALL CAN OF CHOPPED BLACK OLIVES.
Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
2 teaspoons dried chipotle powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 (8 ounce) package guacamole
3 -4 roma plum tomatoes, deseeded and chopped small
chopped black olives
1 bunch scallion, just the green part sliced thin (green onions)
2 (16 ounce) packages grated cheese (i used the mexican blend)
Directions:
1. Get yourself a 9x9 serving dish.
2. Mix chipotle and garlic powders into sour cream and then spread on the bottom of dish.
3. Then spread the guacamole on top of the sour cream.
4. now spread a thin layer of the chopped tomatoes. Completely cover all the guac.
5. Now spread 1 pkg of cheese on top of the tomatoes.
6. Now spread the olives and then the scallions.
7. Now spread the other pkg of cheese and let it refrigerate for at least an hour.
8. Serve with the tortilla chips and enjoy!
