I'M ALMOST 42 YRS OLD AND MY MAMA, MARY ANN, HAS BEEN COOKING SPAGHETTI THIS WAY FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. OF COURSE MY STYLE IS A SPIN OFF OF HER RECIPE. WE EAT OUR SPAGHETTI WITH A FRESH GARDEN SALAD AND HOMEMADE RANCH DRESSING OR WE MAKE A BIG OLE POT OF PINTO BEANS AND CORNBREAD TO EAT WITH OUR SPAGHETTI! Read more ! ENJOY! Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs of hamburger chuck |
1 bell pepper (green) diced |
1 medium onion diced |
1 cup of green onions chopped |
1 can of petite diced tomatoes or 1 can of diced tomatoes with garlic and basil |
2 cans of tomato sauce (can use fresh canned tomato sauce if you can) |
1 box of kraft italian spaghetti mix (this includes 2 packets of seasoning and the noodles) the box is mostly green |
1/2 cup of ketchup |
garlic powder (to your taste) |
3 tablespoons of sugar (more or less depending on your taste) |
parsley (to taste) |
salt |
black pepper |
Directions:
1. SAUTE THE ONIONS AND BELL PEPPER IN BUTTER 2. OPEN KRAFT SPAGHETTI BOX AND BOIL NOODLES 3. BROWN THE HAMBURGER MEAT UNTIL DONE 4. DRAIN THE GREASE OFF HAMBURGER MEAT WHEN DONE 5. ADD THE SAUTEED ONIONS AND BELL PEPPER 6. ADD THE CAN OF TOMATOES (WHICHEVER STYLE YOU HAVE CHOSEN) 7. ADD TOMATO SAUCE 8. ADD BOTH PACKAGES OF SEASONING OUT OF THE KRAFT SPAGHETTI BOX 9. ADD KETCHUP 10. ADD SUGAR 11. ADD GARLIC POWDER 12. ADD PARSLEY 13. ADD SALT & PEPPER (TO TASTE) 14. LET THIS SIMMER UNTIL NOODLES ARE DONE 15. ADD NOODLES AND MIX SAUCE WITH NOODLES 16. THIS WILL BE RARE: BUT, IF THERE ARE ANY LEFTOVERS, REFRIGERATE AND SERVE THE NEXT DAY.. WOULD MAKE AN AWESOME SPAGHETTI SANDWICH! |
